CHARITABLE OUTREACH 2022

This year, ICAB is supporting two (2) worthy causes

The Heart & Stroke Foundation of Barbados Inc. (HSFB) is a non-profit organisation registered under the Companies Act 1982 of Barbados registration number 269 and under the Charities Act 1979-2 registration number 82.

The Heart & Stroke Foundation of Barbados Inc.’s (HSFB)  mission is to  keep people heart healthy to reduce suffering and death from heart disease and stroke.

With heart disease and heart attacks identified as the leading cause of 

death in Barbados, the need for the Foundation remains critical. HSFB Programmes & Services include:

Kiwanis is an international global volunteer community of clubs and members dedicated to improving the lives of children one community at a time. It has 550,000 members of various ages and is a non-profit organization in 85 nations and geographic areas. 

For Kiwanis year October 1 2022 to September 30 2023, one of the areas it will focus on, is improving/developing healthy minds through the creation of a Literacy Programme, to provide literacy opportunities

  to nation’s children in their respective communities.

Kiwanis we will be providing access to books and equipment for on-line tutoring, which can also promote a lifelong love of reading. 

Assistance is needed to support the Literacy Programme at the national library in Tamarind Hall, St. Joseph through the provision of computer equipment and much more.

The HSFB is a charitable organisation, registered as Charity No. 269 under the Barbados Charities Act CAP 243 and therefore any donation made may be claimed as a taxable deduction in 2022.
