Professor Justin Robinson
Professor Robinson is a national of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and currently oversees the Office of the Board for Undergraduate Studies (OBUS). The OBUS is charged with responsibility for policy, quality and regionality in developing and coordinating policy initiatives to guide all aspects of undergraduate and sub-degree programming at The UWI and its regional and global affiliates.
Professor Robinson obtained his PhD in Finance from the University of Manchester, UK. He also holds an MSc in Finance and Econometrics from Florida International University and a BSc. in Management Studies (First Class Honours) from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, Barbados.
His research interests are Capital Markets in Developing Countries, Public Finance, Financial Risk Management and Corporate Finance. He has published extensively on these subjects in several regional and international journals.
Professor Robinson portfolio of public service to national, regional, and international public and scholarly bodies spans positions such as Director of the Central Bank of Barbados, First Vice President of the Barbados Museum & Historical Society, Chair of the Barbados National Insurance Scheme, and Member of the Oversight Committee on State-Owned Enterprises in Barbados.
